We have engaged a terrific list of teachers to teach a wide variety of topics.  We generally limit our classes to a maximum of six students to ensure personalized services.  Some sewing classes will be taught by visiting teachers who will bring all-new techniques and/or skills to our students.

Further, we provide new Bernina sewing machines for use before, during and after our sewing classes for enrolled students.  This keeps our students from having to “lug” their own sewing machines from and back to their homes.  It also assures that the sewing classes will not be disrupted because a student forgot a critical component of their machine or that it does not function properly. 

Our classroom includes a really cool device that our students and customers are welcome to use, at no charge, to photograph their projects.  It is a studio-like setting, with great lighting and plenty of space to hang large quilts. 

We also have invested in technology which will allow us to offer Webinars.  We can project teachers’ classes, brought to our classroom via the internet, onto a big screen.  Speaker phones are used for the audio portion of the presentations, allowing an interactive learning environment for our students.  Ever attend a sewing class being taught by someone thousands of miles away?  You can now.

Class Policy

• Class fee is due at the time you register. If you must cancel, we must be notified 1 week prior to class date. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• If the class does not fill or if we cancel the class, you will receive a full refund or store credit, your choice.
• Supplies are needed for almost all classes. The class fee covers instruction only. You are responsible for picking up your supply list and having all your supplies ready prior to the beginning of class.
• Copyright law requires that each student purchases his or her own book or pattern required for the class.

Are you frustrated with your lack of computer skills? Do you want to learn the basics of using your sewing software? This is your class! Robin is a fantastic, patient guide to help you become comfortable and not fearful in using your software.

This fun medium allows you to make your own one of a kind fabric designs!

Smocking is definitely coming back and is always stylish with children’s clothes! It is easy and relaxing – come learn the basics.

Beginning Needle Punch Scarf      Jan 19   10-2pm Cost: 25.00                                        Teacher: Suzanne Tourtelot Learn from the best how to create some fabulous scarves. Suzanne is truly an artist at this! You must have the needle punch attachment and stitch plate.

Debbi Lashbrook Jan 27 and 28, 10:00
Debbi is the developer of the My Label pattern software and she will be conducting a 2 day workshop.  If you have ever had trouble fitting yourself MY LABEL is an amazing tool to get the perfect fit each time.  It has fabulous styles built in.  She will also be showing fabulous fine garment finishes and tools that many of you may have forgotten about over the years.  I am thrilled to be able to bring her here again. The cost for this event is $55.00.

Entrelac Hat                          Jan. 21st   11-1pm                             Jan 28th    10-12noon Cost   20.00                           Teacher: Twyla Pease This is a basic entrelac hat, it has been one of our most popular classes.  Come learn the technique so you will be prepared for up and coming entrelac projects.  Please note that the first class will start a little later because of Bernina club that morning.  There is some homework that needs to be done before the first classes so come prepared!!

Beginning Knitting

Learn basic knit stitches, this class is for the beginner or for someone that needs a refresher course.

Scarf Quarterly

Our first scarf quarterly class is a short row scarf.  We will be using Boku yarn and creating a lovely scarf using short rows.  If you don’t know what short rows are…………now is the time to learn.  You must have basic knitting skills to take this class.

Slipper Party

Make either a pink or Razorback pig or Ladybug slippers using Polar Knit.  Too fun, sizes range from kids to big kids (adults). These make wonderful gifts for all ages!!!  Put a little sooieeeee in your life!!

Knit Club

Get help with projects you are working on or classes taken.  No problems, great!!!  Just come and knit!!

Sock Quarterly                  
Feb 11th and Feb 25th  10-12noon

Our first sock is going to teach you an picot edge with provisional cast on, stitch pattern cuff, and short row heel, OH  MY!!!  All this and we’re working on the 9 inch Hiya Hiya circular needles.  Too much fun is going to be had!!  You must have completed one pair of socks so you are familiar with basic sock construction in order to take this class.

Beginning Knitting 2 Scarf

This a great second course for the new knitter.  Scarves are so wonderful to knit and wear.
