Million Pillowcase Challenge!
Join us in the 1 million pillowcase challenge and make a difference in your community. BERNINA is a sponsor for this year-long national initiative to create and donate pillowcases to local charities. There is a really easy, quick method, called the sausage method, to make a completely finished (inside and out) pillowcase in less than 30 minutes from cutout to finished!! If you don’t know how to make a pillowcase using the sausage method, just stop by the store and we will show you how. If you have fabric for pillowcases but not enough time to sew them – drop the fabric off at the store and Joyce or Robin will whip them up for you to donate. It takes one yard of two different, complementing fabrics to finish 2 pillowcases. Completed pillowcases can be dropped off at the store and Suzette will make sure that they are donated to a local charity!
