About UsSew in Heaven is owned and operated by Suzette and Terry Bowen.
Terry, a CPA, served over 24 years as the co-founder and President of the Consumer Products Unit of Leggett & Platt, Incorporated; a Fortune 500 company, with annual sales of $5.5 Billion, headquartered in Carthage, Missouri. Leggett is a diversified international company with roots in the home furnishings products business. Terry received his B.S. in Accounting from Missouri State University in 1979.
Suzette stated, “We are very excited about the opportunity to offer the finest products available in the sewing industry. We will listen closely to our customers and will strive to meet any unmet needs they have in the local area. I am so excited about our new store. It is well lit and offers plenty of room to view our products.” Terry added, “I feel we are “So in Heaven,” getting to live and work in the Ozarks. Suzette managed similar stores in St. Louis for 26 years and
taught in the Fashion Design Department at Washington University
for 24 years. She has sold, maintained and repaired Bernina
sewing machines for over 27 years! Suzette received a
B.S. double- degree in Marketing and Management from Missouri
State University in 1980.
Suzie Bell has been with us since we opened
our doors and is a long-time Bernina owner/advocate. Suzie
teaches classes and assists customers in all areas of our company. While
Suzie is talented in many areas, she is especially skilled in smocking
and heirloom sewing. If you do not already know Suzie, stop
by and see why we love her so much! She is a great asset
to both Sew in Heaven and to the community.
